FEM Pot bearing simulations

This FEM work, concerned the calculations and analyses preformed to verify the structural integrity of the pot bearings designed to support the M40 Module for dehydration and export compression facility at the Dvalin field. The structural integrity of rubber-metalic pot bearings has been verified for strength and fatigue point of view under loads reaching over 1000tonnes of the module positioned on drilling platform.

Simulation of polyurethane armature subsea buoy

The Customer is major, world-wide supplier of polyurethane mouldings for offshore, subsea and aquaculture markets. The most recent design is to replace steel with high density polyurethane in subsea buoy armature for improve buoyancy properties. We were responsible for FEA simulation of stress/strain pattern in buoy's armature under boundary conditions representing buoy load states covering deployment/lifting etc. The most significant challenge was obtaining simulation convergence with highly nonlinear elastic-plastic material stress-strain characteristics and contact.
